Ode to Brussel Sprouts

From the San Francisco farmer's market, straight to the table (via Mark Bittman's recipe for roast chicken with cumin, honey and orange juice - 450 degrees for 45-50 minutes).

  1. I join the line of admirers. Just finished your book in Colorado Springs. I cried at the end. I would say that it's a success. When my neighborhood book club meets next week, I'm bringing it! Write a food blog myself: moretimeatthetable.blogspot.com and write food articles for local websites. Lived in Germany for a couple of years, so appreciated the ex-pat viewpoints. Keep on; write more. Recipes lovely. If only I could find whole fish once in a while in Colorado!! Be well, Alyce Morgan

  4. Yum--that looks delicious. I love brussel sprouts, but some people don't. Anything veggie is wonderful.

  5. Did you ever notice how easy it is to splurge on a latte or cupcake, but paying good money for veggies or fruit seems outrageous? When the goods (Brussels sprouts - god, I love 'em) are local, organic and in season, they're worth every centime. Maybe I'll chef some up tonight!

  6. I just finished Lunch in Paris last night. I loved it! I especially loved the ending. I discovered the Lunch in Paris blog through Cindi de Channes. She's going to photograph my wedding later this year!
